\ From The CriticsCollects the results of the author's research on developing diffusion and overlay protective coatings for aircraft engine turbine blades. The book describes technological processes for diffusion and overlay coatings deposition, the composition of the coatings, the structure of the coatings after their deposition on the blade surface, and their changes during high-temperature testing. The results of a number of tests performed on coatings and samples of the alloys used for coating deposition are presented. The closing chapters deal with thermal barrier coatings deposited by the electron beam technique and the calculation of stresses and strains in coatings. The author is apparently a Russian professor.
