Readers will be enchanted by these two impish sisters, their very good intentions, and most of all by the hijinks and adventures they effortlessly conjure up in one very busy day!Children's LiteratureThe idea of twins as both the same and different has a certain fascination for children and adults alike and word play "twinned" names like Natalie and Naughtily just adds to the fun. It is very likely that children will enjoy poring over Tanaka's whimsical and detailed pictures of the grand department store in which the Nopps twins live. The appeal may be increased by the fact that both the store and the art are reminiscent of the Madeline stories. Unfortunately, the story of Natalie and Naughtily's adventures is itself a bit clumsy. When the Butler gives the twins a note announcing their parents would like them not to go to the store that day, the twins immediately proceed to wreak havoc on each of the nine floors of the store.
