Sixteen American scholars explore several of the most pressing global issues and demonstrate how strongly the issues are interconnected. Each chapter provides an analytical overview of the issue discussed, identifies the central actors and perspectives, and outlines past progress and future prospects. The second edition includes updated and expanded coverage since publication of the first edition five years ago, plus a new chapter on the global environment addressing issues of biodiversity and the global commons.
