With its one-sentence narratives on most pages, this book suits older preschoolers well. The print is highlighted clearly in black-and-white inserts on top of the photographs. This reviewer would have liked to see more gender and race diversity on those pages that included people with the trucks. Nevertheless, any young child who is a budding truck lover and full of a little imagination will easily put themselves in the driver's seat of these close-up, colorful photographs. 2001, Firefly Books, $14.95 and $3.99.
