Different machines and common procedures such as giving a shot, taking an X ray or a blood-pressure reading, and removing a cast are shown and simply explained. Surgery, physical therapy, and emergency situations involving paramedics are touched upon briefly. The minimal text, which is superimposed on each picture in a white box, provides very little information. In addition, the author jumps from one topic to another with few or no transitions.
