The naively styled gouache illustrations show animals busily engaged in the types of activities one would expect in their respective work settings. The bottom border on each left-hand page tells where Gigi and Zachary are, while the border on the right lists items within the art that readers should look for. Although the pictures have a less sophisticated appearance than the photos in the "I Spy" series (Scholastic), the objects to find are more complex and harder to identify. Even third graders will probably need an explanation of an editorial department and a copywriter before they can look for them. This book does, however, provide a good opportunity for parents to introduce youngsters to various careers.
