Quilts are a reflection of the people who made, used, and cherished them through the years. The author has interviewed hundreds of old-time quilters, some of whom were over one hundred years old. These interviews present a fresh oral history of the subject. Emphasis is placed on quilts and quilters in the Southern Appalachian region, but quilts from throughout America are included.
